Are you an experienced analyst with a strong background in metals testing? Alliance Technical Group is seeking a Senior Metal Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to our mission of delivering precise environmental testing services.

Key Requirements

Metals Experience is a Must!
Candidates must have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in metals analysis, including routine and advanced testing using ICP-AES and ICP-MS. Familiarity with EPA methods such as 6010, 6020, 200.7, 200.8, 7471b, and 245.1 is essential.

Summary/Objective

As a Senior Metal Analyst, you will perform advanced metals analyses, troubleshoot instrumentation, and deliver accurate results. Your expertise will drive our commitment to environmental safety and compliance.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct Metals Testing using advanced instruments like ICP-AES and ICP-MS following EPA methods.
  • Mercury Analysis: Implement methods 7471b and 245.1.
  • Data Validation & Reporting: Validate results and prepare detailed reports.
  • Instrument Maintenance: Calibrate, troubleshoot, and optimize laboratory equipment.
  • Sample Processing: Ensure accurate sample preparation and adhere to strict QA/QC standards.
  • Method Development: Assist in refining and improving metals analysis methods.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with industry standards and company protocols.

Qualifications
  • Education: BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years in a general chemistry lab or 1 year in a specialized lab.
    • Proven expertise in EPA methods: 29, 306, SW-846 0060 & 0061, 5, 17, 201A, 202, 200.8, 6020, 245.1, 1631.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient with CVAAS, ICP/OES, ICP/MS.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of laboratory safety protocols.
