Manager, IDS Business Solutions


Job Overview: The IDS Business Solutions Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, management, and delivery of business application solutions across all functions of the enterprise. This role involves acting as an enterprise Solution Architect to ensure that the best technology stack is managed and utilized effectively for business optimization and growth. While our corporate HQ is located in Decatur, AL, this positions has the ability to be remote/work from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company's business goals. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and systems to enhance business efficiency.

Solution Architecture: Serve as the enterprise solution architect, designing and maintaining an optimal technology stack. Ensure that the architecture meets both current and future business needs.

Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget. Coordinate with various departments to understand their technology needs and implement solutions accordingly.

Application Management: Oversee the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications. Ensure seamless integration of various applications across all business functions.

Vendor Management: Manage relationships with software vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts and oversee the implementation of external solutions and services.

Compliance and Security: Ensure that all business applications comply with industry standards and regulations. Implement robust security measures to protect company data and intellectual property.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT/IDS professionals. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the IT department and other business units. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.


10+ year of experience managing technology and team of technologist assigned to support an enterprise organization.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience in IT management, preferably in a similar-sized enterprise.

Strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture and systems integration.

Excellent project management, communication and leadership skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
