Job Summary:
This Facilities Maintenance and Security Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for employees, visitors, and property. The Facilities Maintenance and Security Manager's duties will include creating, understanding, and enforcing security protocols, facilities management, and vendor coordination to support day-to-day operations and long-term planning.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules for facilities and equipment to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Standardize facility standards
• Manage facility projects including renovations, repairs, and installations.
• Develop and enforce security policies, protocols, and procedures to protect employees, visitors, and property.
• Manage and maintain access control, surveillance, and alarm systems, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
• Work with building owners to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, building codes, and other safety standards.
• Conduct safety inspections, fire drills, and emergency preparedness training.
Salary: $67k+ depending on experience
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Proven experience in facilities and security management or a related field.
• Knowledge of security and emergency response protocols.
• Familiarity with maintenance operations, building codes, and regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to respond to facility and security issues quickly and effectively.
• Strong understanding of building maintenance, security systems, and safety regulations.
Education and Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in facilities management, security, or related field.
• Prior experience managing teams and working with third-party vendors.
• Certifications in facility management (e.g., CFM) or security (e.g., CPP) preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable with extended periods of standing, walking, and inspecting facilities.
• Availability to respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours
