We're seeking a dedicated Senior Analyst to perform routine and advanced analyses in our environmental laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and non-routine analyses, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Log, label, and acknowledge samples according to procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, coordinating repairs as needed.
- Prepare samples, reagents, and standards for analysis.
- Clean and maintain equipment and glassware, ensuring a well-organized lab.
- Manage inventory of standards and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Adhere to analytical SOPs, updating procedures and corrective actions when needed.
- Report non-conformances to the QAM and Laboratory Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field (experience may substitute for degree).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a general chemistry or appropriate laboratory.
- Experience with GC and GCMS instruments, running analyses for Volatile Organics, Semi-Volatile Organics, Herbicides, Pesticides, and PCBs.
- Familiarity with EPA methods and environmental laboratory practices.
- Skilled in instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices.
Work Environment:
- Laboratory setting with occasional light lifting.
- Use of hands for repetitive motions and equipment operation.
- Some tasks may require exertion of up to 30 lbs. and occasional walking, lifting, and carrying.
Physical Demands:
- Sitting for extended periods with frequent use of hands.
- Normal hearing and vision required for conversations and document preparation.
- Occasional heavy lifting and manual dexterity needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Utilize LIMS functions for project management.
- Perform Level I & II data reviews.
- Develop method modifications for special requests.
- Train junior analysts on routine methods and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned to support business needs.
